Mushroomtober: Hen of the Woods
Hen of the Woods, also known as maitake, is a famously tasty mushroom that grows on the base of oak and maple trees and tastes uncannily like real chicken. Their famous cousin Chicken of the Woods is equally delicious and a bright orange in color.
In 2022 for the Inktober challenge, I did 15 pen and ink illustrations of mushrooms! Each illustration is 4×6″ and was done with brushpen and pen stippling. It comes framed.
