Danse Macabre Art Book Original
Following the long artistic tradition of the Danse Macabre, this little accordion book features five original pen-and-ink illustrations of skeletons dancing hand-in-hand with living people, as well as a hand-bound cover, and twin decorative skulls on the front and back cover made from handmade paper all done by yours truly. Every part of this is handmade and one-of-a-kind!
This booklet is folded from one piece of 11×17″ Bristol board, with covers made from bookboard, art paper, and collage elements from watercolor paper scraps and my own handmade paper. Each individual illustration is 4.5×5.5″. The illustrations were done with Staedtler pens and Pentel brushpens, and have been sealed with varnish for preservation.
