Sierra Bravo Inktober: Naberius
This original painting is part of the Inktober art challenge of one ink drawing a day for all of October I did in 2019! For 2019 my theme was demons from the Ars Goetia.
Demontober #32: (bonus) Naberius! Johannes Wier acknowledges this puppy is just a straightup knockoff of Cerberus. For starters, he appears as a three-headed dog or raven, or something combining elements thereof. While he might not guard the underworld more than any other demon, he does teach rhetoric and eloquence to those who would summon him. In addition to teaching, Naberius retrieves lost titles and honors (though sometimes he causes that loss in the first place!). Finally, he is described as the “most valiant” Marquis of Hell, which makes him a dubious good boy.
This demon is available and looking for a new home–but be warned! He just might be trouble…
