Danse Macabre Art Book Prints

Following the long artistic tradition of the Danse Macabre, this little accordion book features five prints of pen-and-ink illustrations of skeletons dancing hand-in-hand with living people, as well as a hand-bound cover, and painted decorative elements on the front and back covers all done by yours truly. The interior pages are prints of the original illustrations, and all have been soaked in tea to give each one a slightly different weathered effect. No two are alike!

This booklet is made from scans done of the original Danse Macabre booklet illustrations, soaked in black tea and assembled with handmade covers individually. Each individual illustration is 4.5×5.5″. The original illustrations were done with Staedtler pens and Pentel brushpens.
